Questions drivers ask
When is my card charged?
Your card is authorized when you confirm the request — a hold, not a charge. It's only charged after the mechanic marks the job complete. Cancel before that and the hold is released.
What if no mechanic accepts?
If no one accepts within 5 minutes, the request cancels automatically and the hold is released. You're never charged for a job that didn't happen.
Who shows up when I request help?
An independent mechanic on the SpareMe platform. Every mechanic applies through the app and is reviewed and approved by a person before they can accept a single job. Once someone accepts, you see their name in the app.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time before the job is marked complete. The hold is released and you pay nothing. If a mechanic is already on the way, they're notified.
